Harvest hosts: a vanlife essential

I learned about Harvest Hosts through a fellow Van-lifer, ironically named Mandy: @2girls1camper. Other Mandy had great things to say about the locations she experienced through Harvest Hosts, addressed my safety questions and concerns as a solo female traveler, and gave me a great preview to the open hearted wanderers I would soon meet on my journey.

With a Harvest Hosts membership, for about $80 per year, travelers with self containing campers have access to thousands of unique stays for an overnight at a time. Roll up anywhere from farms, to breweries, restaurants, to wineries and more.

The only manageable ask is that you support your host by buying something from their business to support them - and if you like food, drinks, homemade goods - and supporting local business - this should be right up your alley.

I met some of the most unique and kind business owners through my Harvest Host stays. Many said Harvest Hosts guests kept their business alive through the toughest parts of the pandemic.

If you plan on getting lost soon, Harvest Hosts has my vote.
