Making her my own
Countless weekends and post-work hours were dedicated to cleaning, painting and making Vandy truly mine.
Though I appreciated the classic wood look throughout, I knew it wasn’t my style and the first order of business was going to be an interior facelift all around.
I did not mind one-bit spending most of my Friday nights getting lost through home-depot to crack into the next update or project I deemed myself capable of.
The excitement and anxiety before taking off after the Holidays came in waves.
A lot of people asked what it was like adjusting to such a small space. To be honest, coming from a modest-sized studio just outside of Boston, the leap in space didn’t feel all that drastic.
Besides, when it comes to van life, you’re either spending all of your day driving, or you’re exploring after you’ve gotten to where you’re going.
So really, you don’t need much space at all.
The renovations took shape and Vandy really started looking like my home. Each day I was more and more ready to hit the road…
